Shorba with Spiced Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet Indomie Chicken Baladi noodles
  • 150g ground beef or lamb
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Prepare the meatballs: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat with cinnamon, allspice, breadcrumbs, parsley, and diced onions. Mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are well combined. Shape the mixture into small, bite-sized meatballs.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides and cooked through. This should take about 8-10 minutes.
  3. In a separate pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the Indomie Chicken Baladi noodles and the seasoning packet. Let the noodles cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked meatballs to the pot with the noodles and let everything simmer together for an additional 3-5 minutes
  5. Serve the shorba hot, garnished with a little extra parsley for a flavorful and hearty soup.
