Indomie’s premium wheat noodles are now part of every Saudi home
In 1986, Indomie instant noodles were first introduced into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, merging Asia and Saudi Arabia into one world, one of the quintessential and absolutely riveting-in-taste noodles. Indomie’s premium wheat noodles are now part of every Saudi home. Indomie’s factory produces up to 2 million packs a day in Jeddah alone, where it opened in 1994. It was then that a Saudi company first shook hands with the world’s largest noodle manufacturer and set up a state-of-the-art plant known as “Pinehill Arabia Food Limited” thus making Saudi Arabia a self-sufficient producer of Indomie instant noodles. It didn’t take long for Saudis to acquire a taste for Indomie’s flavored noodles and PAFL steadily distributed Indomie across the Kingdom, soon thereafter exporting it to all Arabic countries and soon enough on a global scale.
Realizing that noodle-making is an art, PAFL constantly strives to discover new flavors and tastes, color coding their Indomie’s packaging to reflect each flavor. Today PAFL is the main and trusted manufacturer of instant noodles in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the GCC, in the Levant and in North Africa and the market leader in terms of quality, distribution, flavors, and variety packs. This success brought with it the addition of a second and larger plant in Dammam in 2007 where the factory produces up to 4 million packs a day. Dammam’s factory is the key provider of Indomie’s tasty noodles across GCC. To further meet the rising consumer demand across the MENA region, new manufacturing facilities were built in in Egypt, Ethiopia, Morocco, Sudan, Syria, Turkey and Yemen. Striving to pursue excellence, we continue to introduce innovative technical developments, increase our product lines, develop our business for future prospects via more factories and are expanding our exports to Central and West Africa, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia.
In PAFL, we believe it is important to create a consumer-centric noodle, it is a priority that every tasty colorful pack meets the stringent quality standards set. Only premium elements from Indonesia, the land of Asian spices, are used to create Indomie’s tasty noodles, along with the main raw materials such as the premium locally produced flour and vegetable palm oil along with locally branded water. In fact, the rising demand for Indomie’s instant noodles over the years can be directly attributed to our high-quality standards in the manufacturing process as well as our strict food safety and hygiene procedures, all of which have earned PAFL prestigious Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) certificates including International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO), from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as well as from the Food and Agriculture in Europe.
Our rules are strict but at PAFL we take pride in the fact that we have highly trained experts in their respective fields, whose expertise and contributions are highly valued. PAFL spares no expense to provide training to improve employee skills and overall efficiency, understanding that our human resources are our most important asset. We want our employees to exist in an environment that not only enhances motivation for production but also for individual satisfaction. We do this by providing all our employees with health insurance, a medical facility within the factory, healthy meals on a daily basis and hygienic clothing which includes caps, jackets, and masks as well as special footwear to ensure the safety of our dedicated team in addition to the safety of the product.
Indomie’s pioneering leadership in the successful pillow packs has paved the way to the most convenient and delicious cup noodles which can be prepared and eaten anywhere, instantly by just adding hot water. Today Cup Noodles are also produced in Saudi Arabia. Indomie’s Cup Noodles are available in the flavors of vegetable, curry, chicken, and beef flavors.
